Us
Showing love to others is a foundation of the
Christian faith, yet is frequently overlooked. Many
groups exist that help show the love of Christ but they
often do not have the manpower to reach their full
potential. Reaching Tampa is a ministry that is focused
on loving the people within our community by both
assisting these existing ministries and creating some of
our own.
Reaching Tampa began just
over 2 years ago when a group came together and decided
to start taking steps to make a difference rather than
just talking about it. This began a process that
deeply involved trusting the Lord for His provision and
direction. Beginning in the summer of 2007, the
volunteers of Reaching Tampa began contacting ministries
and organizations throughout the Tampa area to identify
where they had needs.
Reaching Tampa is a group
primarily made up of college students and young
professionals, but every day the Lord is bringing people
of all ages to help us reach Tampa for Him.
